Thank you for celebrating our wedding with us. After a challenging few years, we are overjoyed to come together with family and friends to share in our special day.
We are so excited to see you!
A boy from Nantes meets a girl from Maryland
Cédric and Mandy grew up on opposite sides of the Atlantic. On the coast of Brittany, Cédric would dig for clams and play in the water until he turned blue. Just across the pond, during summers in Ocean City, Mandy would bake in the sun and beg mom to take her to the boardwalk for skee ball and Candy Kitchen.
We both moved to New York City without jobs because it seemed like a good idea at the time and you do stupid sh*t in your 20s. We met in the Time Warner building while working in advertising at Turner (then WarnerMedia, now Warner Bros. Discovery). Upon chatting at the water cooler, Mandy discovered Cédric was not only French (#score), but also a marathoner (#winning). After running several races in Central Park together, Cédric asked Mandy THE question every girl wants to hear: “Do you want to watch the series finale of Game of Thrones together?” and the rest is history.
We’ve spent the last three years growing closer (literally, in a small Manhattan apartment) and spending 24/7/365 together, bingeing Netflix, laughing, and baking lots of bread. Last September, Cédric surprised Mandy with a sunset proposal on the Seine River in his hometown of Paris. She said oui, of course!
As partners and soul mates, we look forward to crossing more finish lines and watching many sunsets together on this roller coaster journey called life.
At some point, Mandy vows to learn how to speak French.
In the last two years, we unfortunately lost our beloved grandmas, Molly Lee and Suzanne Boismain. We remember them with great love and know they are shining down on us.
We keep them in our hearts always.
